Since late 2015, we have known that Transport for London (TfL) would be issuing all station staff with iPad Minis. It is the latest in a series of moves to cope with the rising population of the UK capital, and the most recent in a series of iPad rollouts by TfL. A Freedom of Information request, submitted by The Memo, shows that the organisation has spent almost £4.7 million ($6.8 million) on the tablets and related apps since 2013. In total, 12,311 iPads have been provided to staff: 1,356 of them this year.
