Ofcom is currently holding consultations on the 700MHz spectrum clearance in the UK. Points under consideration are: what support viewers might require; whether public funding should be made available; and whether support should be made available to programme making and special events (PMSE) users that need to replace their equipment. Ofcom believes that fewer than 1% of viewers will need to do more than retune their receivers after the move.
