Lenovo has unveiled its new Windows gaming handheld device, the Legion Go. The Legion Go is powered by the AMD Ryzen Z1 Series processors and features an 8.8-inch Lenovo PureSight gaming display. It also has a built-in kickstand, detachable gamepad, and dual USB Type-C ports. The Lenovo Legion Go is expected to be available starting in October 2023. Lenovo is also offering the Legion Glasses, providing a private, large screen viewing experience using micro-OLED technology and, the Legion E510 7.1 RGB gaming in-ear headphones with driverless 7.1 surround sound. A collaboration with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate provides a 3-month membership for access to a variety of games.
The technical specifications of the Lenovo Legion Go are impressive, boasting an AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor, AMD RNDA Graphics, and Windows 11 support. The 8.8-inch QHD+ 16:10 Lenovo PureSight gaming display offers a 500nits brightness and a 97% DCI-P3 color gamut. The device’s 10-point touch screen enhances control, while up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB PCIe Gen4 SSD provide optimal gaming performance. The Lenovo Legion Go features a 49.2Wh capacity battery with Super Rapid Charge technology, recharging up to 70% in just 30 minutes. Lenovo’s Coldfront thermal technology ensures efficient heat dissipation, maintaining performance during extended gaming sessions.
The detachable controllers of the Lenovo Legion Go are equipped with hall effect joysticks for responsiveness and accuracy. An integrated trackpad, large D-pad, and 10 mappable buttons offer versatile control options. RGB lighting on the controllers adds personalization.
The Lenovo Legion Go is expected to be available in EMEA starting November 2023 starting at €799 (but in North America it should be available one month earlier at a starting price of $699). The glasses are expected to be available in October 2023 starting at €499 ($540) and the headphones are also available in October 2023 starting at €49.99 ($54). These prices are all subject to change and regional variations and availability may still have to be confirmed.
