SiliconCore Technology will launch a 1.9mm XR LED display for broadcast and virtual production at NAB 2023. The fine pixel pitch display is equipped with proprietary technologies from SiliconCore to deliver high performance, including frame rates of 240Hz and increased durability. It can also function as a studio floor to create immersive production spaces with high resolution.
The display features SiliconCore’s patented Common Cathode driver chip technologies, offering frame rates of 240Hz, refresh rates of 7680Hz, and uniform color with less motion blur for excellent camera viewing. The display has a high brightness of 2000 nits and low greyscale performance, producing a high dynamic range that is ideal for slow-motion cinematography and building active 3D environments. SiliconCore’s LISA technology ensures durability that doesn’t require a separate overlay, increasing strength while maintaining the LEDs’ beneficial characteristics and modular serviceability.
Eric Li, CEO of SiliconCore Technology, says their goal is to provide the highest resolution and performance solutions for XR environments. The 1.9mm XR displays are suitable for premium XR and VP environments, with a 500mm x 500mm cabinet design that enables scalable solutions to any volume and size, including curved configurations. In addition, the Lotus 0.83 4K at 145” will also be showcased, demonstrating the highest resolution SiliconCore technology with maximum contrast and performance.
