NEC Display Solutions Europe has added two large format videowall displays, the NEC MultiSync® X555UNS and the NEC MultiSync® X555UNV, to its powerful 24/7 video wall solutions portfolio. Both 55-inch displays are ideal for scenarios such as retail advertising and Digital-out-of-Home, where enhanced visual experiences greatly impact customer engagement and business results.
The two models come with an ultra narrow bezel and only 3.5mm in between the displays in a video wall set-up. The new 55-inch displays use S-IPS panels, which deliver superior picture quality and excellent colour reproduction at off viewing angles in both landscape and portrait orientation. The new panel technology is particularly important to industry sectors such as retail, broadcast, and transportation installations.
The X555UNS and X555UNV video wall displays use local backlight dimming to dynamically adjust to the displayed content. Darker areas of the image will get driven by a dimmer backlight and lighter content may locally leverage the backlights to their full capabilities. Ultimately the user benefits from higher contrast ratios and a more vivid overall image performance.

The in-built NFC sensor supports straightforward installation and drastically reduces maintenance time. Both displays also offer the energy efficiency and reliability needed for many hours of continuous use. The LED backlight technology delivers low power consumption and longer backlight lifetime. The models feature NEC’s unique thermal management, including automated monitoring and fan control, to ensure stable and reliable operation. Thanks to OPS slot technology, customers can easily upgrade the displays at any time without the need for external cables or devices, which ensures investment security and future proof operation.
Availability
The NEC MultiSync® X555UNS video wall display will be available in November 2015 and NEC MultiSync® X555UNV display will join the line-up in December 2015.
