China’s Irico Electronics is to build new 8.5G glass substrate back-end production facilities, at an estimated cost of $50.7 million. The new plant will have an annual production capacity of 950,000 substrates, supplying companies such as CEC Panda and BOE. Irico also has six 5G lines and three 6G lines, which produced 1.21 million substrates in 2014.
