Eyevis always has lots to show us and this year’s ISE was no exception.
We started by looking at the new DLP-based “Slim-cubes” which are 50″ 1920 x 1080 FullHD sets which are just 422mm deep, said to be the thinnest in the world. Brightness is 370 cd/m².
The cubes are designed to allow access from the front or the back and the the full engine can be lifted out from either side and replaced in less than two minutes. The back is also designed to allow flush mounting – there is no need for an air gap for ventilation. The wall can be fully assembled without having the projection units installed and these can be put in at the last minute.
