This may help to reduce the number of codecs that need to be added as plug-ins. Video on PCs has never become a really simple plug & play operation – at least for me. I use a special piece of technology that works with my cycling trainer to show videos of real roads (and changes the resistance according to the gradient) but I found it stopped working. “Oh, it’s a codec thing”, I was told by technical support. “Probably something messed up with a plug-in”. I did get it working, but now decline all offers to install extra codecs! (BR).
