Vtron has expanded its rear (DLP) projection video cube lineup, including a ‘superbright’ and 3D range. These new units will be shown off at ISE 2016 in Amsterdam.
First is the Visionpro C-1500 series. These cubes are designed with a high level of brightness (1,500 lumens), and feature an LED light source, which boosts colour coverage to 120% NTSC. They feature automatic colour and brightness management.
Vtron intends the cubes to be used in applications such as live news studios or control rooms; to support this, the C-1500 series has redundancy in all critical components (including light source, power supplies and inputs), and can be used 24/7. Power supplies, fans and input boards are hot-swappable.
Each C-1500 cube has the option of using various different input boards. These boards feature different inputs, but all are supplied with a built-in processor and support signal synchronisation and unlimited loop-through. Users can also choose the screen to be installed with the cubes.
Vtron’s Visionpro 3D series of LED-lit cubes support both 2D and 3D projection. The cubes are based on active 3D technology, supporting 3D signal sources of 1920 x 1080 at 120Hz, with each eye perceiving 60fps. UltraHD 2D content can also be displayed.
Like the C-1500 cubes, the Visionpro 3D units feature redundancy and automatic brightness and colour management. These cubes will reach 1,200 lumens of brightness.
Finally, Vtron has announced three new super-narrow bezel (3.5mm) LCD displays: the L-PH4623 (46″), L-PH5533 and L-PH5533 (L) (55″). They are designed for use in small-to-medium control rooms, meeting rooms and shopping centres. The displays support unlimited signal looping and fast signal switching.
Automatic colour and brightness calibration are built into the new displays. They also feature resistance to burn-in and high temperatures; if the ambient temperature rises too much, backlight brightness will be lowered or the display will turn itself off. All units are designed for 24/7 use, and are built with ‘industrial-grade’ components. They are IP5X-certified.
Each display features a VA panel with 1920 x 1080 resolution, 4,000:1 contrast ratio and 178° viewing angles.
