The Blackberry Classic smartphone (Display Monitor Vol 21 No 41) is now available for pre-order in the UK. It is listed for £290 ($455).

The world’s thinnest tablet – Dell‘s Venue 8 7000 (Display Monitor Vol 21 No 37) – will be launched at CES 2015. The tablet features a 7″ OLED display and is 6mm thick.

New Desire smartphones from HTC are on sale in Taiwan. The Desire 620 (4G) and 620G (3G) have 5″ displays with 1280 x 720 resolution. They are available now, for TWD6,660 ($215) and TWD4,750 ($155), respectively.

Medion‘s Lifetab E7232 is a 7″ model to be sold exclusively at Aldi stores in the USA. Android 4.4 runs on a 1.6GHz quad-core ARM Cortex A9 processor. The battery will last for up to six hours. Resolution is 1024 x 600 (IPS panel) and the tablet has 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. It is available now for $100.

Razer‘s Nabu wristband is now on sale in North America. The band has a single OLED screen with 128 x 32 resolution (rather than the two screens seen on the prototype at CES), which is used for notifications and app information. The band costs $100.

The Note Edge smartphone, from Samsung, will be released in the UK on 12th December. It will cost £625 ($980) SIM-free.

According to South Korea’s Maeil Business newspaper, Samsung will launch a sub-$100 Tizen smartphone in India this month. The Z1 will be announced on 10th December.

The Encore Mini tablet (Display Monitor Vol 21 No 36), from Toshiba, is now on sale. It is known as the WT7-C-100 and features a 7″ display with 1024 x 600 resolution. The tablet costs €100.
