ZTE will appeal against the export restrictions placed on it by the USA (US Bans Exports to ZTE), according to sources speaking to the Shanghai Daily. ‘A senior commerce department official’ said, “The US Department of Commerce and ZTE Corp are in ongoing discussions”.
The length of the appeals process remains unclear. Export bans are generally applied to a company for at least one year, although can be lifted early.
