What They Say
Xiaomi tried to steal some thunder from Samsung by announcing its Mi Mix 4 just before the Samsung Unpacked event.
The Mi Mix 4 is a rigid smartphone with a 6.67″ 120Hz display and has an under-display camera (UDC) that has a higher resolution camera (12mp) compared to the Z Fold 3 (4mp). However, the Samsung has bigger pixels in the sensor, so may be less degraded by the effects of the display. There is also a 108mp (!) main camera. The ‘Camera Under Panel’ (as Xiaomi names it) is reported to still have 400 ppi in the camera lens region.
The phone can be charged in 15 minutes using 120W charging and wireless at 50W will only take 28 minutes. It will cost $770 for the base model, going up to $970, but will only be available initially in China.
What We Think
