Xiaomi has taken home a Guinness World Record for selling the most smartphones in a single day – passing Samsung, Apple et al. The achievement was reached during Xiaomi’s Mi Fan Festival, an anniversary celebration. More than 2.1 million handsets were sold on the day, mostly online. Almost 40,000 smart TVs were sold at the same event.
