‘World’s smallest 3-chip DLP with 20,000lm’ Announced

What They Say

Panasonic has a new 3-chip DLP projector that is claimed to be the smallest and lightest unit of this class with 20,000 Ansi lumens of output. The PT-RQ25K is said to be 40% smaller and 35% lighter than its predecessor and weighs 35kg. I

The unit uses WUXGA 1920 x 1200 DLP chips with ‘Quad Pixel Drive’, Panasonic’s 2-axis pixel-quadrupling technology and multi-laser light source with liquid cooling and phosphor wheel cooling.

It will be available in December and although there is a link to a Panasonic product page, there are few details.

What We Think

Announcing this product so early looks as though it might be a to ‘put a spoke in the wheel’ of Epson which is launching its latest smallest and lightest 20K projector – which I’m hoping to get more about next week at an event in London. (BR)
