WinMate UltraHD Monitors is for Military Use

Winmate of Taiwan has released a pair of ruggedised ultraHD monitors for applications in the defence industries. The M270TF-MIL (27″) and M320TF-MIL (32″) have 3840 x 2160 resolution and both feature 1,000:1 contrast and 350 cd/m². The 27″ is also available in 500 cd/m² versions and the 32″ in 700 cd/m². Other features include 10 bit colour support and a 14 bit LUT to allow special tonemapping, including of surgical images, the company said. There’s an ambient light sensor to track local lighting. The displays are optically bonded.

The monitors support MIL-STD-810G environmental and MIL-STD 461F EMC standards as well as ruggedised to IP66. There is a ‘rubber bumper’ accessory is available, for applications where there might a danger of head injuries.
