Wearables Are “Embarrassing”, Say Brits

A study by mobile app developer Apadmi has found that more than a third (35%) of British people think that wearable products are too embarrassing to wear. 34% think it makes wearers look like show-offs, and 32% think it makes them look ridiculous. 17% said that it makes wearers look unattractive. It wasn’t all bad, though; 20% of respondents felt that wearables made owners look intelligent.

Apadmi co-founder Howard Simms said, “In order for wearables to be truly desirable, the obvious solution is to make these devices more aesthetically-pleasing”.
