VW Shows Moia Ride-sharing Concept

Volkswagen has shown the Moia concept vehicle, which has been designed to support ride sharing services where a number of individual travellers may be in a single vehicle. The seats are mainly individual and the design puts baggage where the driver would be. Volkswagen acquired a Finnish software company, Split Finland Oy, in the summer and that company has shown some original dashboard concepts. The company has become part of the Moia group which is developing car pooling technology.

Some of the ideas of the Moia are based on a previous concept, the Sedric, that VW showed at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year.
