Vuzix Smart Glasses App Store Goes Live On Company’s Website

Smartglasses – Vuzix® Corporation (OTCQB: VUZI), a leading supplier of Video Eyewear and Smart Glasses in the consumer, commercial and entertainment markets, today announced that its App Store has just gone live on the Company’s website. 

The App Store supports both free and purchasable apps in multiple categories from enterprise tools to streaming video and visual communications, including applications such as Netflix and Skype. There are also tools and developer links from many of the leading augmented reality (AR) development companies available, including SDKs from Metaio and Wikitude; as well as rich AR apps from companies like EON Reality and Mobiti. With the App store going live, the Company expects it to grow as additional apps are in development from many Vuzix partners for the M100 Smart Glasses, as well as for future Vuzix smart devices. Initially, all titles on the App Store will be free with paid apps being enabled in early 2015. Apps are downloaded directly to the M100 Smart Glasses via WiFi or Bluetooth through the user’s partner device. A Vuzix App Store account with registered M100 Smart Glasses are required to download and install these apps.
