Vuzix® Corporation, (“Vuzix” or the “Company”), a leading supplier of Smart Glasses, Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) technologies and products for the consumer and enterprise markets, is pleased to announce that the Company has completed the European Union emission’s certification process for the next generation M300 Smart Glasses.
With certification, Vuzix expects to immediately commence shipping of the M300 Smart Glasses to European customers. Final testing and certification for shipments into the USA will be completed in approximately two weeks. Other major regions of the world should follow early in the first quarter of 2017. This will allow Vuzix to make volume shipments to meet the pent up product demands of its customers and satisfy their orders.
The new Vuzix M300 represents the next generation of smart glasses, designed to address customer feedback from more than three years of productive use of the earlier M100. The advanced ergonomic design and features of the Vuzix M300 enables enterprise users to operate in an increasing number of situations and accomplish even more complex use cases.
Vuzix will begin with production M300 shipments to European VIP partners who have been pre-allocated units for immediate deployment to their existing client base. This will soon be followed by pre-allocated certified M300 shipments to VIP’s in North America and in by February in Asia. Early 2017 will see the existing M100/M300 migration package client orders fulfilled prior to any new pre-orders, and finally a full public launch on the Vuzix website. An M300 Pre-Order Deposit program is currently available to the public on all of Vuzix US, EU, and JP websites for those customers who wish to secure their order priority.
