Volvo Works With Microsoft’s Hololens

Volvo has signed a deal with Microsoft, to jointly develop ‘next-generation’ automotive technologies. The companies have released a video (http://tinyurl.com/pwj7bbg) showing how Microsoft’s Hololens could be used as a car is being developed – for instance, to show how the sensors work, or view the car’s framework underneath the chassis.

The device could also be used to expand to new sales environments, as the car doesn’t actually need to be present for consumers to explore it.

Other areas that the companies will work on together include autonomous driving, information gathering and the use of predictive analytics.
