Taiwan’s VNS is developing a pure hardware 3D adapter for the Oculus Rift. The ‘VR Box’ (G-204) supports frame-packed/line interleaved/frame sequential/side-by-side/top-and-bottom 3D content, at 1920 x 1080 resolution and 24fps. It is able to connect directly to a content source, such as a games console or Blu-ray player. A loop-out port is supported to share the same 3D content with other displays. The product will be launched at CES 2015.
