Vizio has announced the introduction of the Vizio SmartCast skill for Amazon Alexa, enabling voice control of the company’s 2017 and 2016 SmartCast P, M, and E-Series Ultra HD display collections. Users with an Alexa-enabled device can now control volume, channel and input settings, as well as turn their display on and off using only their voice. The technology will also become available to 2018 SmartCast Full HD and HD display customers in the coming weeks.
In addition to controlling their displays with Amazon Alexa, consumers with compatible devices can also browse and launch content directly from their displays with their remote.
