Vivo has launched Nex, its bezel-less OLED smartphone series. The Vivo Nex S features a 6.59″ Super AMOLED display with a 91.24% screen-to-body ratio, a 1080 x 2316 resolution and 388 pixels per inch. It runs Android 8.1, powered by a Snapdragon 845 chipset and 8GB RAM.
It also comes in 128GB and 256GB internal storage options but cannot be expanded with a memory card. Camera-wise, it features a dual 12 + 5-megapixel primary camera, with an 8-megapixel internal camera. It also incorporates a fingerprint reader under the display.
Meanwhile, the lower-priced Nex A model features very similar specs, but is powered by a Snapdragon 710 chipset and 6GB RAM, and only comes in a 128GB storage option. It also relegates the fingerprint sensor to the rear of the unit.
According to GSM Arena, the Nex S is priced at €700 (about $815) while the Nex retails at around €600 (about $700). Both are scheduled for release later this month.
