Visitors Get to Grips with Latest AV and Technical Solutions at Technology Exposed 2016

Midwich welcomes more than 60 exhibitors from the the industry’s leading technology brands in the AV, print and documentation fields to the annual Technology Exposed show, at Mercedes Benz World on Wednesday 21st and Thursday 22nd September 2016. This year is the 6th year of the show and Midwich is expecting over 1,000 visitors through the doors over the two days.

In many cases this is the first time the industry will have seen these products and new initiatives like our W.O.W space, LED Zone, and laser projection arena, so it’s a great opportunity to get right up to date with the latest and best AV, and document solutions technology available.”

Midwich will introduce visitors to a range of disruptive new technologies relevant to the retail, public, corporate and education sectors. The technologies can be used across multiple sectors, such as displays and digital signage for retail, media players for the education and corporate markets, 3D print for education, and conferencing for public sector and corporate markets. Specialist vertical market tours are running each day to share expertise on technologies ideal for the respective markets.

Here’s a flavour of what will be on show:

Samsung Electronics – new UHD professional displays – stands 31 & 32
Samsung has added three further models to its range of UHD QM series displays. The 49, 55 and 65″ models will be made available with 24/7 warranty, 25% haze for anti-reflectivity and rich connectivity with 4 HDMI inputs and 2 DisplayPorts.

Hitachi – LED projector series and new laser projector – stand 50
Hitachi is showcasing its innovative new LED projector series. The brand new long life LED models on display, LP-WU3500 & LP-WX3500, are the result of all of Hitachi’s technical knowledge and experience, delivering bright sharp images, long running times and low maintenance as well as being eco-friendly and more sustainable. Hitachi is also demonstrating its first 8,000 lumen single-chip DLP Laser projector, the LP-WU9750B, which offers a powerful combination of bright, sharp images, high performance and low TCO.

BrightSign – first European showing of award winning media players – stands 48 – 49
BrightSign is celebrating the first European showing of the “Series 3” range of media players, which boast a sleek new industrial design with a very slim profile under 1” in height that makes it possible to place the players virtually anywhere. All new players integrate H.265 (HEVC playback features) and HTML5. The top two product lines (XD and XT) offer a hardware accelerated H.265 video decoding engine capable of 4K HDR 10-bit video playback.

Midwich 3D Print – new partnership with HK3D Solutions – stand 30
Midwich announces a new partnership with HK3D Solutions to provide professional and production printers from 3D Systems. This opens up the door to a wider market enabling Midwich to supply machines from £25k upwards.

Products on show will be Cube Pro Trio and Robox, with demonstrations of the strength of the nylon material for Cube Pro. Midwich offers everything from quotes to delivery and installation as well as ongoing support.

LG Technologies – new large transparent displays – stand 56
Large transparent displays with unique self-lighting technology and perfect black picture can only mean one thing, the return of LG’s OLED. Introducing the innovative 55EH5C dual-view Flat OLED Signage, the 55EH5C wallpaper OLED signage and the 65EE5PC Dual-view curved tiling OLED signage. Surprisingly slim, exceptionally light in weight and space, the solutions provide unprecedented colour reproduction to give an extraordinary customer experience.

Dexon – brand new switcher and video processor products – stand 15
Dexon is exhibiting some brand new products during the event, including the DIMAX 4K Scaling Matrix Switcher family, the DIVIP 4K Video Processor family, and the DXN500 Video Wall Controller family. Easy installation, platform independent remote control and crystal clear video quality guarantee total customer satisfaction.

Bosch – latest version of DICENTIS Wireless Conference system – stand 63
The latest version of the DICENTIS Wireless Conference system is on show, with this best-in class solution designed to be the most flexible discussion system available using the DICENTIS Wireless Access Point (WAP) as control unit. With minimal time required for set-up, several events can take place in sequence, leading to increased efficiency.

PMV Mounts – showcasing bespoke products for AV install market – stand 18
Nottingham-based PMV Mounts is showing a range of bespoke products for the AV install market including new kiosks and lecterns recently designed and implemented by customers to demonstrate variety, finished quality and cost friendly designs.

Sony – showcasing new 4K Professional BRAVIA Displays – stand 58
Sony is showcasing the 75” new 4K BRAVIA Professional Display model at this year’s Midwich Technology Exposed.

Exterity – enterprise IPTV and digital signage – stand 39
Exterity is demonstrating the latest integrated enterprise IPTV and digital signage products, including ArtioSign (Exterity’s integrated digital signage and IP video platform), and ArtioPortal, which has new functionality for creating a tailored viewing interface for TV, VoD and interactive services across SmartTVs, smartphones and tablets. Exterity has also extended 4K support across the product portfolio, and announced additional SmartTV integration and support for manufacturers including Samsung, Philips and LG.

Lifesize – connecting conference rooms – stand 19
Lifesize is exhibiting Lifesize Cloud and its Icon Series. Lifesize Cloud delivers one solution for simply connecting conference rooms to everyone who needs to be in the meeting—from anywhere, on any device. Lifesize Icon 600 is ideal for large meeting spaces and delivers an immersive experience that enhances engagement and productivity.

Panasonic – new AF1 Series digital signage products – stand 9
Panasonic Business is showcasing a range of innovative displays and projection as part of its overall Visual System Solutions, including optional lens range, short throw projection, and Space Player lighting and laser technology for museums, exhibitions and installations. New AF1 Series digital signage products will be on show, featuring an adaptable OpenPort PLATFORM and System-On-a-Chip technology. Panasonic Business’ Security Solutions range will also have a presence on the stand with our 4K, static and dome cameras.

Philips – new partnership with Philips Dictation – stand 22
Midwich will act as specialist audio distributor for Philips’ leading voice dictation brand.
On show is the new Philips Voice Tracer, a recorder with two built-in stereo microphones designed to offer best-in-class audio quality in any recording situation, and Philips Pocket Memo, a lightweight stainless steel digital device perfect for professionals who dictate over longer periods of time.
Philips’ comprehensive portfolio of digital recording and transcription solutions include software, hardware and services for dictation users, secretaries and transcriptionists, as well as IT managers and administration staff.

Elo – showcases smaller digital signage formats for immersive interactions – stand 59
Endless aisle, side by side interaction and intelligent fitting rooms, along with wayfinding, travel and quick-serve kiosks , are just some of the applications powered by Elo’s new I-Series family of products. With applications to significantly enhance the user experience across many vertical markets, Elo’s expertise helps brands and businesses meet the challenge of bridging digital and physical environments.
