We saw an intriguing news story from Germany. At the recent Bundesliga match between Eintracht Frankfurt and VfL Wolfsburg, ADI and Supponor, with the support of Lagardère Sports, installed a full TV arc Virtual Hybrid perimeter digiBoard system for the match, showcasing its virtual replacement technology.
The system shows a real image in the stadium to fans, but uses the LED surface as a virtual surface so that virtual images can be shown for different regional audiences.
ADI and Supponor will head to the UK and other European markets in May and June to showcase the technology.
The system puts a virtual image on a perimeter LED, allowing different TV audiences to see different advertising.
