What They Say
ViewSonic has launched a new VX2722 UltraHD OLED monitor in China and certified to DisplayHDR 400 True Black. The monitor is said to be aimed at creatives and have ‘high colour precision’. It can support refresh rates up to 144Hz.
Adobe RGB and DCI-P3 are each covered 109%, and BT. 2020 coverage is 78%. In addition, a Delta E value of less than 1 is promised.
What We Think
This monitor will be built using the JOLED panel that is also used by LG in its high end 4K OLED monitor. For now, that remains the only game in town at that size and resolution.
In digging around, I also found a VX2722-4K-Pro monitor that is based on an LCD panel and with support for 144Hz. We have reached out to ViewSonic to find out more. The firm recently launched its first OLED monitor, a USB companion monitor and that looks very good. I can imagine that those that have seen it will want something bigger and higher resolution. (BR)
