Two new interactive LCD displays and a new totem display have been introduced by ViewSonic USA.
Both wall-mounted models – the 42″ CDP4260-TL and 55″ CDP5560-TL – feature six-point touch and OPS slots. They are designed for 24/7 use, with a 50,000-hour lifespan. Each has 15.8mm bezels, supports 5×5 daisy-chaining via DVI and can be used in portrait or landscape mode.
The displays are identical, excluding their size. An IPS panel with 1920 x 1080 resolution provides a 1,300:1 contrast ratio, 178 deg viewing angles and a 12ms response time. They have 450 cd/m² of brightness and a 3H hardness coating. Both have 10W speakers and feature DisplayPort, HDMI, DVI, VGA, component and composite ports, as well as RS232, RJ45 and IR for control.
Available now, the CDP4260-TL and CDP5560-TL cost $2,600 and $3,200, respectively.
ViewSonic’s new totem display is the EP5012-L (also available with four-point touch: EP5012-TL). The 50″ display is supplied with an embedded media player (running Android) and 8GB of storage, as well as management software and an integrated scheduling function.
Resolution is 1920 x 1080, with 176 deg viewing angles, a 5,000:1 contrast ratio and 6.5ms response time. The display has 450 cd/m² of brightness, or 350 cd/m² in the touch model. It features HDMI, VGA, USB (x2) and RJ45 ports, as well as two 6W speakers.
The totem displays are available now; they cost $3,300 (non-touch) and $4,000 (touch).
