ViewSonic Gets in the Orlando Spirit

ViewSonic was highlighting its interactive displays and desktop monitors. As well as regular displays, the company is developing its range of kiosks and enclosures including a stand-alone retail kiosk that can be fitted with accessories such as a card reader and had a 98″ UltraHD display, the CD9 which has an OPS slot.

A double-side enclosure, the CDM5500 can support one side with touch or no sides with touch and is a BTO configuration, made in the US, so available for customisation and has features including infrared sensors to allow configuration via IR remote controls.

The IFP7500 is a new ‘VBoard’ for education that is a smart system that has integrated support for Android, but also has an OPS slot so that Windows can also be supported and the panel can switch between the two systems. The screen has 20 point PCap touch.

On the projection side, and also aimed at education as well as business meeting rooms is the PS750W, a UST projector that includes an I/R curtain touch solution. ViewSonic is looking to do more in unified communications and group collaboration.

Next we looked at a 43″ UltraHD desktop monitor that includes DisplayPort loopthrough to allow daisy-chaining of additional displays. The company told us that it is also working on a version with a keyboard/mouse switch so thata single input set-up can be used for dual driving systems with the monitor.

The VP3881 is a new desktop monitor that we were told was ‘FullHD’, but it didn’t look like it to us, so we queried it. After some discussion, it was decided that it is actually 3840 x 1600 format (21:9), which is what I thought! There is also a new 31.5″ V3268-4K which is a 4K monitor that is said to be calibratable.
