Valeo has secured a deal with a leading Chinese automaker to integrate its latest panoramic head-up display (HUD) technology. Unlike conventional HUDs, this new system spans the entire width of the windshield, turning it into an augmented reality interface for navigation, safety alerts, and infotainment.
This contract marks one of the first large-scale adoptions of full-windshield AR HUD systems. Valeo expects the technology to enter mass production for selected models by 2026.
“Drivers increasingly want immersive information without distraction. Panoramic AR HUDs are the future of in-cabin displays,” said a Valeo spokesperson in a press briefing.
The deal reflects the rapid evolution of automotive displays, bridging traditional dashboards with mixed-reality interfaces.
