Valens, the developer of HDBaseT and founder of the HDBaseT Alliance, announced the availability of the HDBaseT-IP solution, enabled by its new VSI1000 chipset.
HDBaseT-IP enables distribution of the 5Play feature set over an Ethernet/IP network, allowing for the seamless integration of existing HDBaseT products to build larger, cost-effective and optimized hybrid installations. The HDBaseT-IP solution, based on the VSI1000, is leveraging standard Ethernet/IP switches, and yet brings the following benefits:
- Maintaining the well-known HDBaseT ProAV grade solution, with zero frame latency and packet-loss recovery for time-sensitive networks over an Ethernet/IP
- Building hybrid Installations by bridging HDBaseT and HDBaseT-IP, and expanding from in-room to cross-campus distribution while saving existing investments and reducing total cost of ownership
- Retaining interoperability across all layers, with unified end-to-end management and control, and supporting the 5Play feature set
- Enabling a variety of topologies and architectures, including multistreaming and daisy-chaining
“With the VSI1000, we can combine HDBaseT, HDBaseT-IP and pure Ethernet traffic, for an easy and convenient hybrid installation, whether in-room, cross-floor or cross-campus. Our goal is to provide an easy-to-implement solution for the demands of today’s ProAV and IT convergence. Installers, integrators and end-users will enjoy the benefits brought by the HDBaseT-IP solution achieving high-performance, cost-effective hybrid installations.”
