Economist Paul Kedrosky’s Daily Graph service has turned up another interesting one on US financing. This time, he has found a chart showing that US VCs are continuing to raise large amounts of funding.
What We Think
I have heard several times this year that although there are VC funds are available, the terms for funding for hardware ventures can be very onerous. This chart suggests that it’s not because VCs don’t have the money, it’s ‘because they can’. As we reported a couple of weeks ago, (IPOs in the USA Way Down), IPOs have been rare recently, so it looks as though there is plenty of cash around looking for something to invest in. (BR)
