United Microelectronics (UMC) set a new record for its quarterly turnover in Q2 of NT$38.1 billion ($1.2 billion), thanks to strong revenues in April and May. However, sales in June dipped 2.8% from a year earlier to NT$12 billion ($386.8 million), ending a 10-month run of year on year increases. Sales in the first six months of 2015 reached NT$75.6 billion ($2.4 billion).
