PMA Research lists the top five selling projectors in a number of categories and publishes the lists every month. The firm has been collecting monthly data for 18 years from North American projector dealers, retailers, web resellers and distributors. The projector tracking service results are displayed on the company’s website on a monthly basis. The top five projectors in various categories, are listed below.
For Home Entertainment Projectors, the list is compiled from retailers and web resellers. The January results show that Optoma had two top-selling models with the HD142X (top) and the HD27 (fifth). The BenQ HT2050 took second place and the Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 640 came third. The ViewSonic PJD7828HDL came fourth.
For the Mainstream Projector segment, the list is compiled from AV and IT distributors. The NEC NP-M283X and NP-M323X came first and second respectively followed by the three Epson models, BrightLink 595Wi, PowerLite X27 and PowerLite 97H.
For 4,000+ Lumen Projectors the list is compiled from dealers and integrators. The Panasonic PT-RZ570W came first followed by the Hitachi CP-X5022WN, the Epson PowerLite 1985WU, the Sony VPL-FHZ57/W and the Optoma EH515 in fifth place.
