Tobii has added two improvements to its Pro Glasses 2 wearable (Tobii Brings Eye-Tracking to Glasses): 50Hz sampling and MEMS components. Tobii has combined the headset’s slippage compensation technology with a 50Hz sampling rate for each of the four eye cameras. The intent is to enable more accurate and valid data collection. Additionally a MEMS gyroscope and accelerometer have been built in, which can be used to analyse head- and body movement, together with eye tracking data. The upgrades will be available soon, through a free update.
