The World’s Biggest LED Screen Spotted With a Spot

In a recent turn of events, The Sphere in Las Vegas has been the subject of social media buzz due to a reported ‘mysterious crack’ on its exterior. According to AV Magazine, the story unfolded when Las Vegas Locally’s X account posted pictures at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, showing the Sphere with a bright white spot, accompanied by a caption suggesting a crack on the surface.

However, a Sphere spokesperson swiftly debunked these claims, confirming that the structure has sustained no damage. Further investigation by a Las Vegas Review-Journal reporter at around 10 a.m. on the same day revealed that the supposed crack was merely a few of the 1.2 million LED pucks not functioning correctly. These pucks, resembling hockey pucks in shape, remained white while their counterparts continued to change colors as designed.

Ain’t social media grand.
