Wortmann AG has a new 10.1″ tablet, the Terra Pad 1061 Pro, which has been specifically designed for medium-sized companies. ‘A tablet that copes with the daily challenges in commerce, industry and trade as well as well as in medical and healing practices, architecture and other professions’.
As well as acting as a tablet, the 1061 Pro can be used with a Type Cover to act as a notebook, or be slotted into a docking station to work as a full PC. The dock features HDMI, USB (x4) and RJ45 ports, as well as a slot for an additional 2.5″ HDD or SSD, and can be combined with an external monitor and keyboard.
Without being connected to a power source, such as the dock, the tablet will last for around nine hours on battery. It has a 1.83GHz Intel Atom processor running Windows 8.1 Pro, with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
The display has 1280 x 720 resolution. Micro-HDMI, micro-USB (for PS2), USB 2.0 and an SD card reader are featured.
Wortmann is selling the tablet now, for €250 ex VAT.
