Touch Display Research predicts that Apple will adopt an ITO-replacement technology in the next 18 months.
In a new report (paid: http://tinyurl.com/okfkmbu), TDR examines rumours about the ‘iPad Pro’ that claim lower touch latency. Metal mesh and silver nanowire are expected to be good candidates for such fast response times, as well as lowering cost and adding new features.
Report author Jennifer Colegrove has also predicted that the ITO replacement market will be worth $10.9 billion by 2022.
