TCL Multimedia Technology sold 1.1 million LCD TVs in June, 1.9% higher than June 2014, of which smart TV sales increased significantly by 84.5% year on year to 358,181 sets. In TCL’s home market of China, sales volume increased 7.4% YoY to 500,906 LCD TV sets, with smart TV sales growing 82.4% to 295,525 sets, accounting for 59% of the group’s total LCD TV sales in China in June.
In the overseas markets, TCL’s LCD TV sales volume decreased by 2.5% YoY to 577,127 sets in June 2015. The group’s LCD TV sales volume in its strategic ODM business increased by 13.6% YoY to 150,567 sets, however, LCD TV sales volume in the emerging markets were down 13.7% to 317,325 sets.
