TCL Multimedia saw LCD TV sales rise 10.7% in October from the same period last year. Sales of smart TVs increased 30.2%.
In TCL’s home market of China, the company’s sales volume fell 9.8% year on year to 610,875 sets, though sales of smart TVs in China increased 31.5%, accounting for 280,218 sets. In the overseas market, the group’s LCD TV sales increased 37.5% YoY to 715,110 units. Of these, sales in emerging markets increased 3.1% YoY to 299,885 sets, while sales volumes in the North American markets and TCL’s strategic OEM businesses increased 696.5% and 107.6% YoY respectively.
