TCL’s Roku TV lineup has grown with the addition of seven new models in the USA, in the 3800 ‘Design’ and 3850 ‘Decorator’ series. All of TCL’s Roku TVs feature the ‘Recommended by Netflix’ logo.
The TV ranges are essentially identical, with the differences coming in the chassis, finish and stand. The 3800 TVs (31.5″ 32S3800, 40″ 40FS3800 and 50″ 50FS3800) target the mid-range, while the 3850 models (31.5″ 32S3850, 40″ 40FS3850, 50″ 50FS3850 and 55″ 55FS3850) are aimed at the high-end.
All TVs feature standard Roku capabilities, including mobile screen mirroring, simple search and a personalised home screen. The 31.5″ TVs have 1366 x 768 resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate, while the others are 1920 x 1080 with a 120Hz refresh rate. All models have speakers (dual 4W on the 31.5″, dual 8W otherwise) and feature HDMI (x3), RF and USB ports.
Roku is selling its new TVs in the US now. The 3800 models cost $230 (31.5″), $340 (40″) and $480 (50″). The 3850 models are being sold for $250 (31.5″), $360 (40″), $530 (50″) and $700 (55″).
