Taiwanese Companies Experience Mixed Fortunes

HTC posted October sales of NT$6.06 billion ($201 million), down 6.8% MoM and 25.8% YoY. This brought turnover for the year to date to NT$52.44 billion ($1.7 billion), a drop of 18.2%. The company said that it expected to see an improvement in the last two months of the year.

Foxlink recorded October revenue which fell 6.3% MoM and 1.5% YoY to NT$9.35 billion ($310 million). The resulted in sales for the first ten months of NT$73.57 billion ($2.4 billion), up 1.4%.

In contrast, Pegatron saw turnover for October rise 8.3% MoM and 10.1% YoY to NT$166.48 billion ($5.5 billion), bringing revenue for the year to date to NT$982.81 billion ($32.5 billion), up 3.7%.

Quanta Computer recorded October sales of NT$100.47 billion ($3.3 billion), up 1.5% MoM and 48.3% YoY. For the year to date there was revenue of NT$839.93 billion ($27.8 billion), up 20.6%.

ODM Wistron reported revenue for the month of NT$89.79 billion ($3.0 billion), up 12.4% MoM and 36.8% YoY. So turnover to date came to NT$664.02 billion ($22.0 billion), an increase of 28.8% YoY.
