Overall large panel shipments for the “big four” fell 11% MoM in April to 18.485 million, although this was up 0.5% from last year.
AU Optronics posted revenue for April of NT$24.477 billion ($817.8 million), down 4.2% MoM and 11.9% YoY. This resulted in year-to-date sales of NT$98.921 billion ($3.3 billion), a drop of 15% YoY. Large panel shipments numbered 8.91 million, down 11.4% MoM but up 2.9% YoY.
Meanwhile Innolux reported April turnover of NT$19.699 billion ($658.1 million), falling 12.7% MoM and 30.6% YoY. The company shipped 9.11 million large panels, decreasing 11.9% MoM and 4.1% YoY.
Chunghwa Picture Tubes announced sales for the month of NT$2.199 billion ($73.5 million), up 0.9% MoM but down 16.2% YoY. Shipments of large panels fell 24% MoM but rose 5.6% YoY to 114,000.
HannStar Display recorded April sales of NT$1.383 billion ($46.2 million), a rise of 0.2% MoM but slipping 6.4% YoY. 351,000 large panels were shipped, up 22.7% MoM and jumping 244% YoY.
