Overall small and medium panel shipments for the “big four” fell 5% MoM in April to 92.92 million, although this was up 5.2% from last year.
AU Optronics posted revenue for April of NT$24.477 billion ($817.8 million), down 4.2% MoM and 11.9% YoY. This resulted in year-to-date sales of NT$98.921 billion ($3.3 billion), a drop of 15% YoY. Small and medium panel shipments numbered 16.42 million, down 4.4% MoM but up 29.6% YoY.
Chunghwa Picture Tubes announced sales for the month of NT$2.199 billion ($73.5 million), up 0.9% MoM but down 16.2% YoY. Shipments of small and medium panels fell 8.3% MoM but rose 1% YoY to 27.4 million.
HannStar Display recorded April sales of NT$1.383 billion ($46.2 million), a rise of 0.2% MoM but slipping 6.4% YoY. 27.14 million small and medium panels were shipped, falling 17.4% MoM and 9.8% YoY.
Meanwhile Innolux reported April turnover of NT$19.699 billion ($658.1 million), falling 12.7% MoM and 30.6% YoY. The company shipped 21.86 million small and medium panels, a decrease of 2.2% MoM but rising 18.8% YoY.
