According to Ofcom, one-third of UK children aged 5-15 own their own tablet – and 11% between aged 3 and 4. The 34% figure represents almost a 100% YoY increase, from 19% ownership in 2013. The 11% figure is a much larger rise, up from 3%.
More than 60% of children (5-15) use a tablet at home, up from 42%, although these may belong to parents or a school.
Possibly because of the rising tablet ownership, UK children are now less likely to have a TV in their bedroom; down to 46% in 2014, from 66% in 2009.
