Coop Stores in Switzerland has opened the first of what is planned to be an update to its store designs. The new stores use LED lighting and electronic shelf labels – with 865 stores, the chain believes that its potential is the biggest in the country. The store has a collection point for online orders. In 2017, 40 stores will be converted and a new megastore with the concept will be opened in Seewen, Canton Schwyz.
