Support for 30 New Languages Rolling Out to Google Assistant

Google Assistant will be available in more than 30 languages by the end of the year, the company announced at the Mobile World Congress this week. Dutch, Hindi, Swedish and Thai are among several languages planned to roll out in the next few months.

The company also announced that Google Assistant will soon be multi-lingual. In other words, it will be able to understand multiple languages at the same time without changing any settings. Initial support will be limited to English, French and German, but more languages will be incorporated over time.

Finally, the company also announced “routines”, which will allow users to perform several functions at the same time with one voice command.

Routines would be great for macros such as configuring a home cinema and adjusting lighting at the same time. (BR)
