Germany’s Federal Cartel Office, otherwise known as Bundeskartellamt, has authorised Ströer’s takeover of the creator of Edgar Freecards, UAM Media Group, which claims to be the country’s largest ambient media provider.
Bundeskartellamt, which regulates competition between businesses in Germany, has ruled that Ströer’s acquisition of UAM will not lead to a substantial increase in its market position.
UAM Media Group, which also provides in-store TV services, guerrilla marketing and digital out-of-home advertising solutions in areas such as fast-food restaurants, cinemas and educational institutions, achieves an annual turnover of €30 million ($35.23 million). The company is headquartered in Hamburg and has offices in Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich and Cologne.
