Sony Corp. reported a turnaround Q2, posting a net profit of JP¥ 33.6 billion ($278 million), in stark contrast to the net loss of JP¥ 136 billion for the same period previous year. Turnover was flat with a half-percent decline at JP¥ 1.89 trillion ($15.6 billion). The real winner in terms of segments was the Playstation 4, however, the home entertainment and sound segment would have fared much worse than a 0.2% decline, had it not been for the high-value LCD TV market.
