Sony has revised its outlook for this year and narrowed its net loss forecast to ¥126 billion ($1 billion) from ¥170 billion ($1.4 billion) predicted in February, while turnover is now expected to be ¥8.2 trillion ($68.3 billion), 2.5% higher than February’s forecast of ¥8 trillion ($66.6 billion).
The company has raised its outlook primarily due to an anticipated increase in financial services revenue as well as an increase in sales in the Music, Imaging Products & Solutions, and Game & Network Services (G&NS) segments.
Sony will release its full year results on 30th April.
