Sony Mobile plans to ship as many as 38 million smartphones in the 2015 fiscal year (April 2015 – March 2016), according to sources in the handset supply chain. The new figure is slightly down from the 39.2 million units shipped in fiscal 2014, as Sony has shifted its focus to the mid-range and high-end market.
